With a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University and training from the Aveda Arts and Sciences Institute, Sophia brings both artistry and technical expertise to her work as a hairstylist. Growing up in a biracial family, she often struggled to manage her curly hair and, as a teenager, turned to straightening it in frustration. These personal experiences shaped her passion for specializing in curly haircuts and care. Today, Sophia is dedicated to educating others about their natural texture and inspiring them to embrace their unique beauty. She believes that everyone deserves to feel confident, radiant, and at home in their bodies, and it is her mission to support those who have struggled to love their natural hair on their journey toward self-acceptance.
